PREPARING FOR YOUR TAN:

Skin Prep Recommendations:

Exfoliation: For an even tan, it's essential to shed dead skin cells. A day prior to your appointment, exfoliate using a loofah, exfoliation mitt, or a sugar scrub. Remember, the tan wears off with dead skin; ensure yours is fresh for the best results.

Deoderant: If you are freshly showered before your session, do not apply deoderant. If you have deoderant on from earlier in the day, please remove it.

Moisturize: Keep your skin hydrated in the days leading to your tan. However, avoid lotions or creams on the day of your tan. Ideally, shower and shave the day before your session. Hot showers right before tanning can alter your skin's pH levels, affecting the tan's outcome.

Previous Tan Removal: If remnants of an old spray tan linger on your skin, ensure it's fully removed before your next session. Layering fresh tan over old ones isn't recommended. Typically, after about a week or so, your old tan should be easy to remove with warm water, soap, and a washcloth during a shower or bath. Towel drying post-shower can further aid exfoliation, prepping your skin for the upcoming session.

Tanning Attire:

For your comfort during the tanning session, you can opt to go without a top. However, if you choose to wear a bikini top, consider potential tan lines. Dark colors are best, as the solution can transfer slightly and will show on lighter clothing.

Flip-Flops Slippers

Post-Tan Outfit: Have dark and loose clothing ready for after your tanning session. Refrain from wearing a bra immediately post-tan to avoid marks or lines. If you plan to leave your house before you rinse, flip flops with thin straps are best, to avoid an unwanted tan line.

Avoid Certain Treatments: It's best to avoid waxing or getting pedicures on your tanning day. If you must get a pedicure post-tan, kindly request the technician to skip scrubs or towel rubs on your legs. Also, refrain from waxing while your tan is still fresh.

Post-Tan Care Tips for a Long-Lasting, Gorgeous Glow

Dress Comfortably: Avoid snug clothing or bras immediately post-tan. Opt for loose-fitting attire to ensure your tan sets perfectly.

Stay Dry: Keep your skin moisture-free until your initial rinse. That means no sweating or getting caught in the rain!

Hands Off: Resist the urge to touch or feel your freshly tanned skin.

Hand Care: Hold off on washing your hands for the first 2 hours post-tan.

Sleep Smart: If you're heading to bed with your new tan, wear pajama pants and a loose tee. This helps prevent any skin-to-skin transfer of the tanning agent, DHA.

First Rinse Ritual:

For rapid rinse tans: Begin with a warm water rinse without using any products. After 8 hours, you can indulge in a shower , but avoid any loofah or textured material while soaping up.

For regular 12-hour tans: Hold off on shaving until your subsequent shower.

Gentle Showers: While enjoying your tan, be gentle in the shower. Avoid scrubbing, steer clear of Dove products, bar soaps, and instead of rubbing, pat yourself dry gently with a towel.

Beware of Swimming: Remember, both chlorine and saltwater can accelerate your tan's fading process.

Hydrate Your Skin: The golden rule for a lasting tan? MOISTURIZE. Do it daily! Stay away from products containing mineral oil and sulfates. Nourished skin retains the tan better.
